The 3rd edition of the FLA - Art Book Fair will take place from June 2–4, 2023, at Casa Azul, in Torres Vedras. It is an annual event designed by EMERGE - Cultural Association for Torres Vedras, with the purpose of contributing to the dynamization of the cultural programming of the city by involving artists, public and private entities, and the promotion and sale of art books, artist books, fanzines, and other publications related to artistic practice.
The FLA arises from the combination of a passion for books and art. There are book fairs where there is a section dedicated to art; however, this fair is entirely dedicated to art. It was from this desire to dedicate a fair to art books in their various forms that the founders of EMERGE came up with the idea of creating an event dedicated to art books. Within the very varied existing offer, these books range from fanzines, artist books, books about art and art education, and books that are true works of art, whose handling requires dedication, time, and some thoroughness.
The event is free, and besides the books, it includes a vast program, including talks, launches, performances, and other activities that will be announced soon on the association's website and social networks.

About Emerge - Cultural Association
Emerge is a non-profit cultural association founded in 2016 in Torres Vedras. The main objective is to promote contemporary art produced by emerging artists. This promotion is carried out through the various projects developed in partnership with public and private institutions, curators, artists, and galleries, among others, to address pressing issues in contemporary art.
