CASULOS Project: Performative Art Laboratory - Open to the Community
Within the scope of the CASULOS Project, the Performative Art Laboratory open to the community intends to develop a work of research and choreographic/performative creation of a community nature, which will involve communities of immigrants, returnees or refugees of various nationalities, residing in Caldas da Rainha, in a multidisciplinary audiovisual production in video dance format and/or video installation, which will be presented at the José Malhoa Museum and Arts Center in Figueiró dos Vinhos.
Walking a path that winds through all the performing arts to discover personal experiences, of «identity», observing the relationship between «the individual» and «the collective», the emotional physical adaptation «to oneself» and «the collectivity». To analyze the creation of a community based on individual memory, in confrontation with the ephemerality of personal memories fragmented and pulverized in the collective memory.

"Memory is personal and empirical; the body has memories that are intrinsic to it; smells, sounds, names, words, tactile impressions; images constitute memories that are archived, or present as activators. of assimilated memories, which inspire subjective, creative personal uses, which in everything contribute to the construction of our individuality or identity. I exist because I remember myself…" - Amélia Poland, in LURA (Journal of the Educational Service of the Vila Flor Cultural Center)
