description

To celebrate the first book edited by the digital platform
through-objects, we will welcome the founder of this project to tell us
a little more about her new book 'Nature Back to Design', published by
the Swedish 'New Heroes and Pioneers'.
Throughout its content, through-objects.com explores the notion of
design as a narrative where objects offer different interpretations,
allowing more personal and relevant ways of thinking to emerge.
'Nature Back to Design' reveals captivating objects by designers and
creators who found in nature the great source of inspiration and the
solution to current environmental and social issues. By highlighting the
potential and beauty of natural materials, this book proposes a
respectful and harmonious perspective between humans and nature.

Founded and curated by Rita Trindade, Through Objects aims to tell you
the most interesting design stories, sharing a collection of design and
craftsmen objects around the world.
This platform dedicates most of its content exploring the notion of
design as a narrative, and like narratives, objects offer different
interpretations to users, according to their own references. By
supporting various forms of interpretation, more personal and relevant
ways of thinking about these objects arise. To enhance a growing
creative involvement, Through Objects has been sharing an inspiring
collection of stories and interviews from several designers around the
world.

This first volume of the digital platform Through Objects, named 'Nature
Back to Design' and published by 'New Heroes and Pioneers', presents a
selection of 24 design objects inspired by nature. Each story reveals
captivating items from pioneering designers and creators who found in
nature the great source of inspiration and the solution to current
environmental and social issues. By highlighting the potential and
beauty of natural materials, this book proposes a respectful and
harmonious perspective between humans and nature.
