In 2020, within the scope of Rede Cultura 2027, the Municipality of Leiria developed a new regulation to support and promote innovative cultural projects and artistic synergies of cultural agents from the Municipality of Leiria who invested in co-productions with cultural agents and institutions from the remaining 25 municipalities of Rede Cultura 2027.

With a budget of 100,000 euros, in 2020, this call received eight applications for projects that involved 28 cultural agents from 11 Municipalities of Rede Cultura 2027.


The selection process had as a jury:

• Luís Ferreira, Director 23 Miles, as President of the Jury

• Ana Saraiva, Head of the Museums and Tourism Cultural Action Division of the Leiria City Council, at the time of selection

• José Pires, Artistic and Financial Director of Teatro José Lúcio da Silva

• Marta Martins, Executive Director of Artemrede

• Samuel Rego, Cultural Manager

The selection had the following steps and timetable:

• Application period: 24th January to 7th February 2020

• Publication of the list of admitted projects: February 21, 2020

• Presentation of projects among peers: March 7, 2020

• Presentation of pitches to the Jury: 4th of July

• Publication of the list of supported projects: 13 July 2020

The four institutions and projects supported in 2020 were:

• SAMP - Sociedade Artistica Musical dos Pousos | Project: Palco em Casa CCER

• CCER Mais – Cooperativa para a Criação e Promoção Cultural, Educacional, Marketing e Intervenção Social, Cooperativa de Responsabilidade Limitada |Project: Surma – II

• Associação Folclórica da Região de Leiria – Alta Estremadura | Project: Baile dos Pastorinhos

• O Nariz - Grupo de Teatro | Project: O Rei que nunca foi Rei
