The Preludes of Ideas paved the way for the first meetings of reflection, in co-production, between the people and each of the cultural agents of the 26 territories of Rede Cultura 2027.

With the urgency of meeting and joint reflection, 9 sessions were mobilized that stimulated synergies and defined directions for the European Capital of Culture application.

The first prelude took place on February 22, 2019 at the Museum of Leiria with the signing of the Manifesto which, by the hands of 26 Mayors, united 26 territories in order to weave a network with the commitment to share creations, artistic resources and cultural activities in the territory it covers.

The Programming and the Territory: the city and the village, the churchyard and the street as stages. March 30, 2019, in Leiria;

Cultural Policies: because it is important to think. April 6, 2019, in Torres Vedras;

Architecture and Plastic Arts: spaces, materials, colors, shapes and our places. April 13, 2019, in Caldas da Rainha;

Cinema and Audio-Visual: looks that move us, screens and lenses, lenses that tell us about us. May 4, 2019, in Figueiró dos Vinhos;

Ethnography and Folklore: anthropological, intangible heritage, crafts and philharmonics: where are they? June 1, 2019, in Nazaré;

Material Heritage: memories, stones and dreams that tell of us. June 15, 2019, in Tomar;

The Book and Thought: the meaning of things and possible words. June 22, 2019, in Óbidos.
