6 - A better prepared system to face crisis
It is likely that we will now face recurrent health crisis, aggravated by global heating and climate change. How will the cultural and creative sector address sustainability, both in the terms of legacy, ecological footprint and environmental protection?. Long-term programmes should, perhaps, be used less abundantly, to allow for more flexible formats geared towards the must needed change. New ways of programming will then lead to new forms of production and cultural communication. Crisis also draw more attention to contingency measures (implemented in order to uphold and protect memory and heritage, for example). They also pose pressing challenges to creators in terms of implementing environmentally friendly practices, combating waste, reduce the use of resources, innovate and train professionals.
